URBANA, IL – The Urbana Police Department is ramping up efforts to locate a man accused of employing a counterfeit ID to withdraw more than $8,000 from a victim’s bank account.
“He used what appeared to be a fake id to withdraw money from a victim’s bank account (a total of $8,350.00).” Urbana Police said in a statement Monday.
The suspect’s image has been released, prompting an urgent plea for community assistance in identifying him. Case U23-15310 has spurred a call for information from the public. Anyone recognizing the individual or having pertinent details is urged to contact Urbana Police at 217-384-2320. Confidentiality is ensured, allowing private information sharing for those stepping forward.
