Albany, N.Y. – Skies will stay clear to partly cloudy across eastern New York tonight, bringing another cool evening but not as cold as the previous night. Overnight lows will settle mainly in the 40s, giving the region a crisp autumn feel without dipping into frost levels.

According to the National Weather Service in Albany, temperatures will hold in the mid-to-upper 40s for much of the Capital Region, with slightly warmer readings closer to Syracuse and Watertown, where lows could stay near 59. Cities like Albany, Cobleskill, and Herkimer will hover around 48 degrees, while colder pockets such as Pittsfield, Ticonderoga, and Keene may bottom out in the lower 40s.

The clear and cool conditions may make for comfortable sleeping weather, but residents planning to be outdoors late tonight should bring an extra layer. Travelers will not face any weather-related hazards, with dry roads and light winds expected through the night.

The cooler stretch continues into midweek with no major storms in the immediate outlook. More seasonable days and chilly nights are expected as early fall takes hold.
