Albany, NY – The National Weather Service in Albany is warning of chilly overnight temperatures tonight into Monday morning, with widespread freezing conditions expected across much of eastern New York and western New England.
Overnight lows will fall to around 30°F across the valleys, with some locations dipping into the upper 20s. The coldest readings, in the low to mid-20s, are forecast for the Adirondacks and higher terrain areas.
Residents are urged to protect sensitive vegetation and outdoor plumbing, as this could bring a hard freeze to portions of the region—especially where frost protection measures have not yet been taken.
Despite the frosty start, Monday afternoon will bring sunshine and seasonable warmth, with highs rebounding into the mid-50s, making for another pleasant fall day.
Temperatures are expected to moderate slightly midweek before another potential cooldown arrives later in the week.
