Binghamton, NY – Isolated severe storms are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening, with damaging winds the primary concern.

According to the National Weather Service in Binghamton, a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) has been issued for much of the region, indicating the potential for isolated severe thunderstorms.

Forecasters say the main hazard will be strong to locally damaging wind gusts. While widespread severe weather is not expected, a few storms could briefly intensify and produce stronger impacts.

The general timeframe for storm development is mid-afternoon through the evening hours.
