Marquette, MI – Residents across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula can expect a stretch of pleasant fall weather through Thursday before a shift to rain showers Friday morning.

According to the US National Weather Service Marquette, conditions today and Thursday will remain mostly dry with plenty of sunshine. Highs are expected to reach the upper 50s to mid-60s, with the warmest temperatures found in western areas of the region.

By Thursday night, however, clouds will increase as the next system moves in from the west. Forecasters say the next best chance of rain arrives late Thursday night into Friday, with scattered showers possible across eastern counties by early Friday morning. Daytime highs on Friday should hold between 57 and 63 degrees, with lingering clouds expected through the afternoon.

Overall, the week offers an ideal window for outdoor activities before wetter conditions close out the workweek. Drivers should be aware that early morning commutes Friday could bring light rain or damp roadways, especially along the Lake Superior shoreline.
