According to the National Weather Service in Marquette, temperatures Wednesday will range from 76° to 84°F, with hazy skies and a mix of sun and increasing clouds. While most areas will stay dry today, isolated sprinkles could fall in the western UP. Showers and storms are more likely late tonight into Thursday, especially across western and central counties.

Daytime highs on Thursday are forecast in the low to mid-80s, with thunderstorm chances persisting. Friday brings the peak of the heat, with high humidity and air temperatures pushing near 90°F. When combined with dew points, heat indices could hit the low to mid-90s in cities like Iron Mountain, Escanaba, and Marquette.

Drivers should be alert for sudden downpours and reduced visibility during storm activity. Those spending time outdoors are urged to hydrate frequently, limit strenuous activity during peak afternoon heat, and check on vulnerable individuals.
