According to the National Weather Service in Marquette, a 30 percent chance of showers continues through early Tuesday morning before skies turn mostly cloudy. By afternoon, light northeast winds will bring slightly drier air, holding highs near 68. Fog may linger near Lake Superior, impacting travel along U.S. 41 and M-28 during the morning commute.

Wednesday begins cloudy before skies clear by afternoon. Sunshine will lift temperatures near 70, offering a more comfortable stretch of weather for outdoor activities across the Upper Peninsula. Thursday looks even brighter, with highs climbing into the upper 70s under mostly sunny skies.

Rain chances return briefly Friday afternoon with isolated showers possible, but the weekend is shaping up dry and pleasant. Residents are advised to allow extra travel time during Tuesday’s morning fog and use low-beam headlights to stay visible on the road.

Conditions improve by midweek, with a run of sunny, mild days expected through Saturday.
