Albany, NY – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for portions of eastern New York through 3 p.m. Sunday, with up to 7 inches of snow and sleet expected across the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Albany, affected areas include the Capital District, Schoharie County, the Helderbergs, eastern and northern Catskills, the southern and central Taconics, and the mid-Hudson Valley. The storm will bring a mix of snow, sleet, and ice, with ice accumulations of around one-tenth of an inch.

Road conditions are expected to be slippery and hazardous, impacting travel throughout the weekend. Motorists should use caution and allow extra time when driving.

Officials advise residents to stay informed on weather updates and prepare for winter conditions.
