St. Paul, MN – Minnesota residents should prepare for a dramatic weather shift this week, according to the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities. Starting Tuesday, record-high temperatures are forecast, particularly across southeast Minnesota and western Wisconsin, with highs reaching up to 82°F in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. These temperatures will drop sharply later in the week.
On Tuesday night, intermittent showers are expected to begin and will persist through Thursday, bringing cooler conditions across much of the region. Highs on Wednesday will range between 45°F and 75°F, with areas closer to southeast Minnesota experiencing cooler, wetter conditions. By Thursday, morning temperatures may be cold enough to bring Minnesota’s first snowfall of the season, though the snow is expected to dry out by evening.
The weekend will remain cooler, with highs reaching the mid-50s on Friday and Saturday. Afternoon showers could develop late Saturday. This quick shift from warm to cold weather serves as a reminder of Minnesota’s unpredictable autumn climate.
