Unsolved 2005 Halloween Parade Murder: Pennsylvania Man Found in Creek

Meadville, PA – Pennsylvania State Police are seeking new information in the unsolved 2005 homicide of William George Rossey, who was last seen at a Halloween parade in Meadville. Rossey, 63, was reported missing days after the October 29 parade. He was wearing a black ball cap, dark jeans, and blue Velcro shoes at the time.

According to authorities, Rossey often hitchhiked and visited local shops and bars in Meadville. His body was found on May 7, 2006, in French Creek, Union Township, Crawford County. An autopsy confirmed Rossey’s death as a homicide.

Investigators ask anyone with information to contact the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Investigation Unit. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through PSP Tips.
