University Park to Host Juneteenth Celebration with Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra

University Park, IL – Governors State University will host a Juneteenth Summer Solstice event on Thursday, featuring performances by the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra.

According to the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, the festival will take place from 5 to 8 PM at theNate sculpture park on the GSU campus. Attendees can enjoy music from various ensembles at different locations around the park each hour, starting at 5 PM. 

The event is free and open to the public, with food available for purchase at the food truck experience. Sunset is expected around 8:28 PM, providing a scenic conclusion to the festivities.
