LAS VEGAS — Uber and Lyft will be offering rideshares at specific pick-up/drop-off zones located near the Strip for partygoers.
Getting around Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve can be quite challenging since the Strip gets completely closed to traffic from 8 p.m. The I-15 exit ramps at Flamingo will be closed at 5:30 p.m., and Las Vegas Boulevard will be closed from Spring Mountain Road to Tropicana Avenue, starting from 6:30 p.m.
Uber and Lyft will have designated NYE pick-up and drop-off zones near the hotels along the Strip using Koval Lane (east of the Strip) and Frank Sinatra Drive (west of the Strip). In previous years, access points included the LINQ Promenade, the Bellagio, and the ARIA. Passengers should prepare for heavy traffic, long wait times, and surge pricing, especially after midnight and until the early hours of January 1.2026.
Because of the road closures, rideshare drivers will not be able to drop and pick up passengers directly from the Strip, so passengers need to be prepared to travel on foot to the designated pickup zones. The specific zones will be available to view on the Uber or Lyft app when you request a ride. For transportation along the Strip itself, the Las Vegas Monorail will operate throughout the event.
