Southern California, CA – Southern California experienced back-to-back earthquakes Tuesday, leaving many residents questioning if they felt the tremors.
A 2.5 magnitude quake struck west of Imperial at 6:19 a.m. PST at a depth of 10.9 km. Hours later, a second 2.6 magnitude quake occurred southwest of Holtville at 10:48 a.m. PST, with a depth of 12.4 km. Both quakes were recorded by the U.S. Geological Survey.
Seismologists classified the tremors as minor, causing no reported damage or injuries. Residents nearby might have noticed light vibrations, though official “felt reports” remain low.
