Minneapolis, MN – Temperatures will climb to around 70°F by Wednesday afternoon across the Twin Cities, offering a brief warm-up before rain and cooler air move in within 24 hours.
According to the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities, highs will peak near 70°F Wednesday between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., well above late-March averages. A frontal system will arrive Thursday, bringing scattered rain showers and beginning a cooling trend that continues into Friday.
Cities including Minneapolis, St. Paul, Bloomington, and Eagan will see highs fall from the upper 60s Wednesday to the mid-50s Thursday, then down to around 42°F Friday. Roads may become slick at times Thursday during passing showers, especially during the morning and midday commute.
The cooler pattern will be brief. Temperatures rebound into the 50s Saturday and climb back into the 60s by Sunday and Monday, signaling a return to above-normal conditions early next week.
Residents should plan for changing conditions late week, keeping rain gear handy Thursday and layering up again by Friday. Additional updates may follow as the timing of showers becomes more precise.
