MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota will see another breezy and cool day Sunday, with highs in the mid-60s and lows dipping into the mid-40s, making for a crisp late-August feel across much of the state. Gusty winds will add a chill to the afternoon, keeping conditions below average for this time of year.
According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities office, skies will remain partly cloudy Sunday before clearer weather develops early in the workweek. Temperatures will gradually rebound, with highs reaching near 70 degrees on Tuesday and climbing into the mid-70s by Wednesday.
Cooler air will be most noticeable overnight, particularly in central and northern Minnesota, where low 40s could create patchy morning fog and a fall-like chill. Cities including Duluth, Rochester, and St. Cloud can expect similar patterns, with breezy afternoons and clear, cool nights.
Drivers should be alert to reduced visibility during early commutes Monday morning. Residents are encouraged to layer up for evening outdoor plans and prepare for warmer conditions returning midweek.
Temperatures are expected to remain seasonable into late week, with more updates possible if winds or showers develop.
