Minneapolis, Minnesota – A steady warmup is underway across Minnesota, with temperatures climbing into the mid-60s by Wednesday before rain moves in overnight and impacts the Thursday morning commute.

According to the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities, highs will reach between 44 and 48 degrees Monday before rising into the low to mid-50s Tuesday. The warmest day arrives Wednesday, when temperatures peak between 60 and 66 degrees across the metro, including Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Cloud cover will increase late Wednesday, with the only notable rain chance of the week developing overnight into early Thursday. Light rain could create slick roads and slower travel along I-94, I-35, and Highway 52 during the early commute hours.

By Thursday afternoon, temperatures cool back into the upper 40s to mid-50s as the system exits. Cooler air settles in Friday, with highs dropping into the upper 30s to low 40s accompanied by breezy conditions.

Despite the brief rain, much of the week remains dry and seasonably mild, offering favorable conditions for outdoor plans through midweek.

Additional updates may be issued as the timing of Wednesday night’s rain becomes more precise.
