Minneapolis, Minn. – After a stretch of cooler days, the Twin Cities are warming back to near-normal September levels, though scattered rain and thunderstorms could disrupt evening plans through Tuesday morning.

A 40% chance of rain lingers into the early hours of Tuesday, with storms most likely in southern Minnesota before tapering off by midday. Highs will hold in the mid to upper 70s both today and Tuesday, though pockets of rain could keep some areas cooler.

By Wednesday, drier air moves in, bringing mostly sunny skies and highs between 75 and 80 degrees. Thursday continues the warming trend, topping out in the low 80s under partly sunny skies. Overnight lows throughout the week remain comfortable in the upper 50s to low 60s.
