Twin Cities, MN – The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities says mild, sunny conditions will continue through much of the workweek before a sharp cold front arrives this weekend, potentially bringing the season’s first snowflakes on Saturday.

Temperatures are forecast to stay in the mid-50s to near 60°F through Wednesday before gradually cooling into the 40s by Friday. Overnight lows will range from the 30s early in the week to the 20s by the weekend, signaling a notable shift toward winter-like conditions.

According to forecasters, Saturday could bring scattered snow showers as the cold air deepens across southern Minnesota. While accumulation is not yet certain, it may mark the region’s first measurable snowfall of the season.

Residents are advised to prepare for a colder weekend, especially those planning outdoor activities or travel. Temperatures will likely stay below freezing Saturday night into Sunday morning.
