MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – A mild October stretch is taking shape across the Twin Cities as clouds begin to thin and daytime highs climb back into the 60s and 70s through midweek. After a mostly cloudy Sunday night, Monday will bring partly sunny skies and light northwest winds, offering a crisp but comfortable start to the week.
According to the National Weather Service in Chanhassen, clear skies Monday night will allow temperatures to dip into the mid-40s, followed by full sunshine Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will top out near 66°F both days, with light southeast winds returning by midweek.
Conditions remain ideal for commuters and outdoor plans through Wednesday, but a change arrives Thursday as a weak disturbance could bring scattered showers after midday. Winds will shift from the south at 10–15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph in open areas.
No widespread hazards are expected, though drivers should watch for brief wet spots Thursday evening before another stretch of clear skies returns Friday.
