Minneapolis, Minn. – Smoke will lift from the Twin Cities by Tuesday morning as a cool front sweeps through overnight, clearing the way for sunny skies and mild highs in the upper 70s. Western Minnesota could see early showers before sunrise, but they are expected to fade quickly.

According to the National Weather Service, the region will enjoy clear and calm weather through Wednesday, with highs ranging from 75 to 80 degrees. By Thursday, a shift in the pattern brings a 30% chance of afternoon showers and storms, with highs climbing to the low-to-mid 80s.

Friday could turn hot, with temperatures pushing into the upper 80s to near 90 and another round of showers and storms possible. The unsettled weather continues Saturday, with scattered showers and highs in the low-to-mid 80s.

Residents should monitor local forecasts for storm timing later in the week, especially if outdoor plans are scheduled for Friday or Saturday.
