Minneapolis, MN – A stretch of calm, seasonable fall weather will take hold across Minnesota beginning Thursday, offering several days of sunshine and mild temperatures, according to the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities.

A few light showers may linger over western Wisconsin Wednesday morning, but skies are expected to clear statewide by afternoon as high pressure builds in. Temperatures will hover near seasonal norms, with highs in the mid-40s to upper 50s and overnight lows in the upper 20s to 30s.

Forecasters say Thursday through Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies and light winds, creating ideal conditions for outdoor activities and late-season yard work. By the weekend, highs could climb slightly into the low to mid-60s, with partly cloudy nights remaining cool.

No major weather systems are expected through early next week, keeping the region in a tranquil pattern. The National Weather Service notes that the next chance for rain may not arrive until late Sunday or Monday.
