Minneapolis, MN – The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities says Sunday will feel like a preview of winter, with strong northwest winds and wind chills holding in the teens for much of the day.
According to the NWS, occasional light snow flurries are possible throughout Sunday, though only a dusting of accumulation is expected. Temperatures will remain in the mid-20s to near 30°F, but gusty winds up to 30 mph will make it feel much colder.
The chill will ease quickly as the new work week begins. Monday will be mostly sunny with highs in the 30s, and by Tuesday, temperatures are expected to rebound into the mid-40s to near 50°F across southern Minnesota.
Drivers and outdoor workers are urged to bundle up against the brisk northwest winds today, and stay alert for brief bursts of snow reducing visibility at times.
