Twin Cities, MN – A cold front moving across Minnesota Saturday evening will usher in clear skies and pleasant fall weather to start the new week, according to the National Weather Service Twin Cities.
Forecasters said the front will pass through early Saturday night, bringing only a narrow band of light rain or virga—precipitation that evaporates before reaching the ground. Clouds will decrease overnight, leading to a breezy but sunny Sunday.
Sunday’s forecast calls for highs in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees and lows in the mid-30s to lower 40s, with clear skies throughout the day. Monday brings a return of some clouds and a chance of rain, mainly along and north of Interstate 94, with temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s.
Cooler air will settle in by Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs dropping to the mid-40s to mid-50s and overnight lows in the 30s. Winds will remain breezy at times but conditions will stay mostly dry midweek.
The National Weather Service says temperatures will hover near seasonal norms through next weekend, offering a stretch of mild fall weather across the Twin Cities metro and much of southern Minnesota.
