Minneapolis, Minn. – Drivers across the Twin Cities should be prepared for patchy fog early Tuesday morning, with isolated showers lingering overnight. Conditions will improve quickly after sunrise, setting up a string of warm and mostly quiet weather days across Minnesota.
According to the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities, lows tonight will dip into the 60s with fog most likely forming in low-lying areas and along major highways, including I-94 and Highway 52. Commuters are advised to allow extra time Tuesday morning and use headlights in reduced visibility.
Skies will turn partly cloudy Tuesday with highs between 80 and 85 degrees. Wednesday looks mostly sunny and mild, with similar temperatures but cooler overnight lows in the mid-50s to mid-60s. By Thursday, temperatures will edge slightly higher, into the mid to upper 80s, with a 30% chance of thunderstorms developing late in the day.
The quiet stretch means favorable conditions for outdoor events, but forecasters caution that Thursday evening’s storms could bring brief downpours or lightning.
More updates are expected as storm chances increase later in the week.
