Minneapolis, MN – Morning drivers across Minnesota may face low visibility as areas of fog develop overnight and persist into Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service Twin Cities. Another round of fog is possible late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

According to forecasters, commuters should allow extra time during the Tuesday morning drive, with dense fog likely in some areas. Lows are expected to dip into the 50s overnight before temperatures climb into the low to mid-70s Tuesday and Wednesday.

By Thursday, the fog pattern will break, leading to sunnier skies and a warming trend. Afternoon highs are forecast to reach 75 to 80 degrees Thursday, then rise into the 80 to 85-degree range Friday. The weekend outlook remains seasonably warm and dry, with highs staying between 75 and 80 degrees.

The National Weather Service noted that the warm, dry weather pattern is expected to hold through the end of September, providing one of the last stretches of summerlike conditions before fall settles in across Minnesota.

Drivers are advised to use caution during the early morning hours, especially in rural areas where fog can reduce visibility quickly.
