Twin Cities, MN — A stretch of beautiful November weather continues across the Twin Cities today and Friday, with mild temperatures and plenty of sunshine before a cold front ushers in cooler, more seasonable air this weekend. The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities reports that quiet, dry conditions will dominate in the near term.
Today brings highs in the 50 to 60 degree range depending on location, offering another comfortable afternoon for mid-November standards. Overnight lows will drop to the upper 20s to mid-30s, but skies remain mostly clear.
Friday will be the warmest day of the stretch, with highs climbing into the 60s to near 70 degrees across much of the metro and southern Minnesota. Winds stay light, and no precipitation is expected, making it one of the most pleasant days of the week.
A cold front moves through on Saturday, knocking highs back into the 40s to mid-50s, signaling the arrival of a more typical November pattern. While Saturday remains dry, the cooler air sets the stage for a more unsettled start to next week.
Small chances for light rain or snow showers arrive late Monday into Tuesday as temperatures continue trending downward. At this time, any precipitation looks minor and scattered, but forecasters will refine details as the system approaches.
Even with the coming cooldown, the Twin Cities will enjoy two days of unseasonably mild conditions before more seasonable November weather returns.
