Tulsa, OK – A Frost Advisory has been issued for much of eastern Oklahoma and parts of northwest Arkansas, with temperatures expected to fall near 32 degrees early Friday morning. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Tulsa released the advisory late Thursday morning, in effect from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. CDT Friday.
According to the NWS, frost formation is likely across areas including Tulsa, Bartlesville, Muskogee, McAlester, Fort Smith, and Fayetteville. The advisory covers multiple counties across northeast, east-central, and southeast Oklahoma, as well as northwest and west-central Arkansas.
Officials warn that sensitive outdoor vegetation may be damaged or killed if left uncovered. Residents are advised to bring plants indoors or use coverings overnight to prevent frost damage.
