Tulsa, OK – A mostly quiet but unseasonably mild weather pattern is expected across eastern Oklahoma this week, with temperatures running near or above average and only limited chances for rainfall.

According to the National Weather Service office in Tulsa, daytime highs will generally range from the mid-50s to upper 60s through the weekend. Tuesday’s high in Tulsa is forecast near 56 degrees, climbing to around 60 degrees on Wednesday and remaining mild through Thursday.

Overnight lows will also stay relatively mild for mid-December, with temperatures mostly in the 30s and 40s, though a brief dip into the upper 20s is possible late Thursday night into Friday morning behind a weak front.

Rain chances remain low for most of the region, but light rain is possible Wednesday night into Thursday, especially across far eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Forecasters say rainfall amounts are expected to remain under one-tenth of an inch, limiting any flooding or travel impacts.

In addition to the mild temperatures, breezy conditions are expected at times this week. The National Weather Service notes that warmer and drier air, combined with wind, could lead to periodic fire weather concerns, particularly during the afternoon hours.

By Friday and into the weekend, temperatures are expected to remain seasonably mild, with highs again climbing into the lower to mid-60s and dry conditions returning.

No significant winter weather is expected during this period, and overall impacts are expected to remain minimal. Residents are encouraged to stay aware of fire safety conditions and monitor updated forecasts, especially if rain timing or wind speeds change.
