Tulsa, OK – Eastern Oklahoma and parts of northwest Arkansas experienced their first widespread freeze of the fall season early Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Tulsa.
Morning lows dropped into the upper 20s and low 30s in many areas, marking the end of the growing season for much of the region. Despite a chilly start, afternoon highs will climb into the 50s and low 60s Sunday under mostly sunny skies.
A significant warming trend begins Monday, with temperatures rising into the 70s through midweek, and some locations approaching 80°F by Thursday or Friday. Conditions are expected to remain mostly dry all week, with rain chances staying below 10%.
The warm pattern will persist into next weekend, providing several days of pleasant and dry fall weather following the season’s first freeze.
