Within five minutes of arrival, the air crew reportedly located Lemus hiding in a tree inside the orchard. Officers on the ground ordered Lemus to surrender, but he allegedly refused. A police K-9 was deployed, and Lemus was safely taken into custody.
Lemus received treatment for his injuries before being booked into the Tulare County Jail. Deputies said he was also wanted in connection with several other vehicle pursuits across Tulare County in recent weeks.
