Tucson, Arizona – Warm and dry conditions will continue across southern Arizona through Tuesday, with record or near-record high temperatures before a midweek pattern change.

According to the National Weather Service in Tucson, highs through Tuesday are expected to run 15 to 20 degrees above normal, with many valley locations reaching the 70s under mostly sunny skies. Some daily temperature records may be challenged during this period.

Forecasters said a shift in the weather pattern will begin Tuesday night as clouds increase and breezes develop. Light rain chances, estimated at 30 to 50 percent, are possible late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.

Scattered shower chances are expected to linger into Wednesday, with valley highs remaining in the 70s despite increased cloud cover. Additional periods of light showers are possible heading into Christmas and continuing into the weekend.

The National Weather Service emphasized that rainfall amounts appear light at this time, with no significant storm impacts anticipated. Temperatures will remain mild even as rain chances increase later in the week.

For commuters and holiday travelers, the warm start to the week will offer favorable conditions, though motorists should remain aware of occasional slick roads if showers develop later in the week.

Residents are encouraged to monitor forecast updates as timing and coverage of midweek and holiday rain chances become clearer.
