Parsons, WV – A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for both Eastern and Western Tucker County through 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh.

Forecasters say the area — including Canaan Valley, Parsons, Davis, Hendricks, Saint George, and Thomas — can expect additional snow accumulations of up to 3 inches, with wind gusts reaching 45 mph overnight into Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service, the storm will make travel hazardous across much of the region. Drivers should anticipate slippery and snow-covered roads, especially during the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Officials warn that the combination of snow and gusty winds may bring down tree branches and cause isolated power disruptions.

Residents are urged to use caution when traveling and to report snow or ice accumulation to the NWS Pittsburgh office by calling 412-262-1988, posting to Facebook, or tagging @NWSPittsburgh on X.

As temperatures remain below freezing, conditions are expected to slowly improve by early Tuesday afternoon as the system moves east.
