Chicago, IL – As Tropical Storm Beryl heads toward the Midwest, Illinois residents are on alert for heavy rain, flooding, and isolated tornadoes on Wednesday. 

The US National Weather Service indicates the storm’s path remains uncertain, affecting how much rain will fall and where tornadoes might occur. The heaviest rain is expected north and west of the storm’s center, with tornado threats to the south and east.
