Raleigh, NC – Mild and pleasant conditions are in store for central North Carolina today as skies gradually clear and sunshine returns, according to the National Weather Service in Raleigh.

Highs will climb into the mid to upper 60s this afternoon with light west-northwest winds, creating an ideal setup for outdoor activities across the Triangle and surrounding areas.

Skies will remain mostly clear overnight, allowing temperatures to cool quickly into the mid to upper 30s by Monday morning. Forecasters say this will mark one of the cooler nights of the week before a brief warm-up early next week.

No precipitation is expected today or tonight, and calm weather is forecast to continue through Monday before a storm system approaches from the west midweek.

Residents can expect dry roads and cool mornings as the holiday week begins, with sunshine dominating through much of Sunday.
