Gaylord, MI – Northern Michigan is in for a cool, unsettled stretch to start November, with highs today lingering in the 40s and scattered light showers developing near Grand Traverse Bay and the lakeshore. According to the National Weather Service in Gaylord, conditions will stay mostly cloudy through the weekend, with a stronger system bringing widespread rain by Sunday night.

Temperatures will climb slightly Sunday, reaching upper 40s to low 50s, before widespread showers and gusty winds move in late Sunday into Monday. The NWS expects highs Monday around 50–55°F, with breezy conditions likely as the storm system sweeps across the region.

After the rain, drier and milder weather returns Tuesday, with sunshine and highs reaching the mid-50s. Overnight lows through the period will range from the mid-20s to lower 40s, keeping early mornings brisk.

Travelers and residents near the lakeshore should prepare for wet roads and gusty winds Monday, especially in open areas and along the bayshore.
