Roselle, Ill. — On July 3 at around 10:45 p.m., the Roselle Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to a traffic crash on Roselle Road by Granville Avenue. They were told that the crash involved injuries.

Arriving at the scene, a Buick sedan and Nissan SUV both had extensive damage to the front-end. The driver of the Buick was an adult female who was transported by paramedics to a local hospital. She was reported to be in stable condition at the time. The Nissan carried four adults. The driver declined medical examination at the scene, and the other three passengers were transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The female driver of the Buick was reported dead the morning of Friday, July 4. She was a Roselle resident.

The crash is currently still under investigation, but preliminary investigations indicate the Buick driver may have been undergoing a medical incident at the time of the accident. Investigators believe this may have caused her to drift over the center line and collide with the Nissan.
