The Minooka Fire Protection District responded to the scene at approximately 5:50 a.m. after reports of a van colliding with the rear of a semi-truck, resulting in significant damage and entrapment.

According to initial reports, the van struck the rear of the semi, causing severe damage to both vehicles. Emergency crews from Troy Fire Protection District were also dispatched to assist with extrication efforts due to the severity of the entrapment.
