Traffic Alert: Semi-Truck Jackknifes on Route 47 in Grundy County, Causes Road Closure

Grundy County, IL – A major traffic disruption occurred early this morning on Route 47 in Grundy County. 

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 7:30 AM, a semi-truck jackknifed, blocking the busy stretch of Route 47 between Stonewall and Scully roads.

The incident has resulted in the closure of this section of the highway, impacting morning commuters and local traffic. Authorities are currently on the scene, and efforts are underway to clear the roadway and restore normal traffic flow as soon as possible. 

Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes and expect delays in the area. Further updates on the situation will be provided by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department as the cleanup progresses.
