Mokena, IL – Drivers in Mokena should prepare for lane closures and local traffic limits Friday, October 10, 2025, as utility crews repair a water main on LaPorte Road near Anna Street.
According to the Village of Mokena, westbound traffic on LaPorte Road will be restricted to local vehicles only west of Schoolhouse Road, with a full closure at Anna Street, about one block east of Wolf Road.
Crews are scheduled to begin work at 7:00 a.m., with completion expected by the end of the day. Officials said motorists may experience minor traffic delays and are advised to use alternate routes when possible.
The project, led by Mokena Utilities, aims to address an essential infrastructure repair. Police and village officials are reminding residents to plan extra time for their morning and midday travel.
Drivers are encouraged to stay alert for workers and posted detour signs in the area.
