The fire occurred around 1:12 p.m. at 902 Balmer Road in the Town of Porter. Deputies arriving at the scene found a 2006 Sea Ray boat fully engulfed in flames. The Youngstown Fire Company responded quickly and extinguished the blaze before it spread to nearby property.

According to investigators, the boat was being backed into the driveway when it came in contact with power lines, sparking the fire. The blaze destroyed the vessel, which was declared a total loss.
