Tornado Hits Central Wisconsin: NWS Green Bay Predicts Cooler Weekend Weather

Green Bay, WI – An EF1 tornado swept through Menominee and Oconto Counties early Tuesday morning, leaving behind a path of destruction. The National Weather Service (NWS) reported the tornado, which reached peak winds of 98 mph, traveled 8.9 miles from Keshena to Berry Lake.

According to the NWS, the tornado struck between 2:27 and 2:32 a.m., with a maximum width of 90 yards. Despite the damage to property and infrastructure, no injuries or deaths were reported.

In the aftermath, the NWS Green Bay office has forecast cooler and less humid weather for the coming days. Wednesday will see slight chances of showers and thunderstorms, with highs in the upper 60s to upper 70s. Thursday will be partly cloudy with temperatures ranging from 69 to 75 degrees.

Showers and storms are expected on Friday, with highs around 74 degrees, followed by a weekend of mixed sun and clouds with temperatures between 68 and 80 degrees. Cooler conditions are predicted to extend into early next week.
