According to the Lafayette Police Department, officers responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 2:17 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Mill Pond Lane. When officers arrived, they found two adults suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police identified the victims as Steven Meyer and Kimberly Meyer. Steven Meyer sustained a gunshot injury to his arm, while Kimberly Meyer was injured in her hip. Investigators confirmed shell casings were recovered at the scene. Both victims received medical treatment and were reported to be in stable condition.

The incident is being jointly investigated by the Lafayette Police Department, Indiana State Police, Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, West Lafayette Police Department, the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office, and the FBI.
