Tinley Park, IL – Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect after a hold-up was reported just after 8 p.m. Thursday at a business near 183rd Street and Harlem Avenue, according to the Tinley Park Police Department.
Authorities said the suspect is described as a white male, approximately 60 years old, wearing glasses, a light-colored face mask, and a gray sweater with green writing on the front. Police are warning residents not to approach the man and to contact the department immediately if seen.
Officers have been canvassing the area around 183rd Street, Harlem Avenue, and Oak Park Avenue, north of Interstate 80, where the incident occurred. Residents in nearby neighborhoods were notified through community alerts Thursday night.
No injuries have been reported, and police have not yet confirmed whether the suspect fled on foot or by vehicle. Investigators remain on scene collecting evidence and reviewing nearby security footage.
