Tinley Park, IL – The Village of Tinley Park is seeking a marketing intern to join its communications team, offering a paid, part-time opportunity for college students pursuing degrees in marketing, communications, or public relations.
According to the Village of Tinley Park’s job posting, the position pays between $15.00 and $21.38 per hour and is structured for up to 19 hours per week, with an anticipated internship duration of 12 months. Applicants must be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, to support community events.
The intern will assist with a variety of responsibilities, including coordinating special events, concerts, and festivals. Duties also include supporting the production of press releases, social media content, marketing materials, and video projects for Tinley Park Television and the village’s YouTube channel. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. The role also requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
The marketing department in Tinley Park oversees a wide array of public engagement efforts, including the Community Email Newsletter, special event permit applications, and management of the “Life Amplified” brand. The intern will work alongside full-time staff, including the marketing director and specialists, as well as other part-time team members.
