According to deputies, the incident began November 11 when Alexander Eaton allegedly fled from law enforcement during a traffic stop, leading to a pursuit that ended at the Cape Lookout trailhead. On November 12, with assistance from the Oregon State Police, Lincoln City Police K-9 Unit, and the Lincoln City Police Department, deputies searched Cape Lookout State Park. Authorities say K-9 Nix ultimately located Eaton hiding under a log. He was taken into custody without incident.
According to the sheriff’s office, Eaton is suspected of the following offenses:

– Burglary in the First Degree
