Naperville, IL – Three Chicago women are facing charges after allegedly stealing from a Nike store in downtown Naperville and fleeing police into Chicago.

Authorities say the incident happened Wednesday around 4:20 p.m. at the Nike Well Collective on South Main Street. Emiaya Shannon, 27, Shawanda Outlaw, 28, and Martasia Barney, 27, are accused of taking over $300 in merchandise before fleeing in a vehicle driven by Barney.

According to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, Barney allegedly refused to stop for police, leading to a pursuit involving a Chicago Police Department helicopter. All three were arrested in Chicago and charged with burglary and retail theft. Barney also faces a fleeing charge.

All defendants were released pre-trial and are prohibited from entering any Nike store. Their next court date is May 5.
