According to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, investigators with the Forsyth County Drug Task Force and the Davidson Anti-Drug Regional Task Force (DART) conducted a traffic stop on Fisher Ferry Street near West Main Street on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

Authorities said a subsequent search of the passenger vehicle allegedly uncovered approximately 5,320 grams of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $100,000.

Lajarvis Quinn Shankle, 34, was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana and one count of felony larceny. He was placed in the Davidson County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond.

Shankle is scheduled to appear in Davidson County District Court on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
