Tulsa, OK – Warm temperatures will dominate this weekend, but a cold front Sunday evening will bring gusty winds and cooler air.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Tulsa, highs are expected to reach 73 degrees Sunday, with southerly winds increasing throughout the day. Gusts may reach up to 40 mph, particularly along highways like I-44 and I-40. Drivers of high-profile vehicles are urged to exercise caution due to potential crosswinds, especially on east-west routes.

By Monday, the cold front will push through, bringing daytime highs down to the low 50s and overnight lows near freezing. The cooler trend will persist into Thanksgiving week, with highs in the low 50s Tuesday and slightly warmer conditions returning Wednesday.

Residents are encouraged to secure loose outdoor items and properly extinguish outdoor fires due to increased fire risk from gusty winds. The NWS also advises monitoring local forecasts for any updates on weather-related hazards.

The extended forecast shows sunny conditions on Sunday and Monday, with mostly clear skies continuing into Thanksgiving Day. Wednesday night may see a slight chance of showers before clearing up for the holiday. Highs on Thanksgiving will hover around 50 degrees, with light north winds making it feel chillier.

Prepare for fluctuating temperatures and plan outdoor activities accordingly this week. For updates, visit weather.gov/tulsa or follow the NWS Tulsa on social media.
