Baltimore, MD – Windy conditions and a mix of rain and sunshine will shape Maryland’s weather heading into Thanksgiving week. A mild and sunny Sunday is expected, but rain showers and cooler temperatures will likely disrupt travel starting Monday night.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), wind gusts reaching up to 30 mph will persist across the state through Saturday night, especially along higher elevations and roadways like I-70 and I-81. Sunday will bring a reprieve, with mostly sunny skies and highs near 58 degrees in Baltimore. However, cooler overnight lows around 43 degrees mean bundling up for outdoor plans is advised.

Monday ushers in slightly warmer temperatures, with highs reaching 64 degrees. A calm start to the day will give way to rain chances by late evening, impacting areas across the Baltimore metro and nearby roadways. Drivers are urged to prepare for wet conditions Monday night, as showers could reduce visibility and create slippery roads.

The weather takes a turn Tuesday, offering drier skies and highs near 62 degrees. However, by Wednesday, temperatures dip to 50 degrees, and Thanksgiving Day could see a 50% chance of rain, affecting local parades and holiday plans.

Residents planning travel should monitor updates closely, as changing weather patterns could alter rain timings. NWS advises keeping an eye on updated forecasts to ensure safe holiday commutes.

Extended Forecast:

• Sunday: Mostly sunny, high of 58.

• Monday: Partly sunny, high of 64. Evening showers possible.

• Tuesday: Sunny, high of 62.

• Wednesday: Partly cloudy, high of 50.

• Thanksgiving: Rain likely, high of 47.
