Austin, TX – Warm and sunny conditions will dominate South-Central Texas today and Sunday, with temperatures climbing into the 80s. Residents should enjoy this mild weather while it lasts, as a sharp cold front is expected by midweek, bringing a significant drop in temperatures.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday’s highs will reach around 83 degrees in Austin with light south winds, making outdoor activities ideal. Overnight, temperatures will cool slightly to the mid-50s under mostly clear skies. By Monday, temperatures will surge to 86 degrees, marking the warmest day of the week.

However, change arrives Monday night as a cold front moves through the region. By Tuesday, daytime highs will fall to the upper 60s, and north winds will add a brisk chill to the air. Cooler conditions will persist through Thanksgiving, with highs near 68 and overnight lows dipping into the low 40s.

Travelers and commuters along I-35 should prepare for varying weather conditions during the week, especially as winds strengthen near the front’s passage. Those hosting Thanksgiving festivities outdoors may want to consider alternate plans as temperatures will remain cool through the holiday.

The extended forecast calls for sunshine to dominate despite the cooldown, making for crisp but pleasant conditions by Friday. Residents are encouraged to stay updated on the latest weather developments, especially if traveling for the holiday.
